My Beautiful Sole: Figlia Shoe Design Contest

Are you creatively gifted?

Who would not know the shoe brand Figlia (an Italian word which means "daughter")? I have been a fan of their shoes especially their fierce stilettos since I remember. The brand is known for its best quality and well thought "Classic Chic" designs. For so, they have been grown to succeed as they managed to have its sub brands to cater other categories based on fashion style such as Figliarina, M. Nicole, Sorores, Figlia Couture by Joey Enriquez, Shubizz, and Barbie adult footwear.

Last Thursday, Dec 22nd, I was cordially invited to a Blogger's conference held at Figlia's main office located at Centerpoint Building, Julia Vargas Ave, Ortigas Center. It was very pleasing to meet Mr. Joey Enriquez, President of Figlia | Charter Inc. and one of the pioneers that has driven their family business into success. He is humbly modest and very passionate on what he is doing that I think had helped him to prosper.

And as to share this success, the Charter International Inc., is inviting EVERYONE TO JOIN the Figlia's Shoe Design Contest entitled "My Beautiful Sole" . If you are creatively gifted who shares the same passion of designing shoes or alike, I bet you to join and express yourself by designing your own shoes.


The theme of the shoe design contest is self-expression—My Beautiful Sole. Create a shoe using materials of your choice comply with the theme.

Go to Figlia’s website ( and navigate to the Promos tab for the official entry form. Print the official entry form and accomplish it. Include your name, contact information and documentation with it as well.

Each entry must include the following: 

1)      A sketch studies of your work. 

2)      An actual prototype of your designed shoes (created with any of your selected materials) 

3)      Submit along with the prototype 

(a) JPEG or PNG file of the step- by- step documentation process of the entry construction (with at least 6 photos of the documentation process compiled in 11 x 8.5 inch image size) OR
(b)  MP4 or AVI video documentation (minimum of  2 mins and maximum of 6 mins documentation presentation) burned in a CD. Only one (1) entry per person is allowed. By submitting an entry, contestants acknowledge compliance with these contest rules, guidelines & conditions including all eligibility requirements.

Entries will be judged by Joey Enriquez of Figlia Couture and a special set of celebrity guest judges on *February 14, 2014, 3-5 pm at the SM Atrium, Bridgeway 5th Flr.

A fab-load of prizes including a brand new Wacom design tablet awaits the grand winner and his/ her mentor in creating the entry! Two runners up will also be selected and awarded! A participant can only win once, If a name wins more than once, he/ she gets the price of higher value.


All winners will be awarded a Starcard Membership from Figlia! That’s 10% off on all Figlia products for a lifetime!

GRAND PRIZE WINNER – (2) brand new Wacom unit [for the entrants and his/ her mentor] worth (Php 20, 800.00), 3K worth of Figlia GCs and a Starcard Membership
1st Runner-up – 2K worth of Figlia GCs, a pair of Figlia shoes and a Starcard Membership
2nd Runner-up – 1k worh of Figlia GCs, a pair of Figlia shoes and a Starcard Membership
3rd Runner-up – 1K worth of Figlia GCs and a Starcard Membership
4th Runner-up – 1k worh of Figlia GCs and a Starcard Membership

Design skills -  creativity with materials used, visual impact, color                                        40%

*Winners will be notified via registered mail and phone call. Winners must present any 2 of the following valid ID’s with photo ( i.e. Driver's License, passport, SSS, TIN, NBI clearance).

*Winners may claim their prize at the Figlia Head office (20th flr. Centerpoint bldg, Julia Vargas ave Ortigas, Pasig City).

*Winners must claim prize within 60 days upon announcement, winners will be notified via email and phone call.  Winners who failed to claim prizes within 60 days will be forfeited with prior to DTI- approval.

Entries must be submitted on or before *January 31, 2014 at the Figlia Head Office (20th Flr. Centerpoint Bldg., Julia Vargas Ave., Ortigas Center, Pasig City) or drop in drop boxes located at Figlia branches (Shubizz Greenhills, Shubizz Southmall and Shubizz Fairview).

Revlon Roaming Limo!

Any plans tonight or this coming weekend?

Funny how some women think that they should only look presentable when there is an occasion or an event where they have to flaunt their selves. Women should know that every single minute of the day is an event when they’ll never know what could happen. Well, doesn't necessarily mean that they must wear heavy cosmetics and dress up something glam all the time. Women could look presentable by being light and simply decent.

I always think that I could bump into someone I know (friends, colleagues, etc.) that I must always be prepared. Feeling beautiful helps me boost my confidence (every woman feels the same.  I must say.)  And that is why I am very conscious on how do I look before stepping out of my room.  I am also very particular in wearing makeups since I go to work every day I like to put on light makeups, just enough to cover up imperfections and blemishes.

The market offers variants of cosmetic brands, there are brands that are widely known yet expensive and there are some that cost less however caters the same quality.

The Revlon Roaming Limousine is an On-Ground awareness, trial, sampling and selling platform, which targets to engage costumers with personal touch. The activity will be engage in a promo to which a prospected costumer upon purchase of Revlon products will get a chance to experience the Revlon Limo Makeover. The activity will be deployed at strategic areas of high foot traffic (Business Hubs, Universities and Colleges etc.) to allow wider market visibility.
